Steve Horner (he/him) is an award-winning composer, producer, and songwriter who creates a diverse range of music spanning multiple genres and mediums. His original music and production can be heard in feature films and documentaries, animated series, trailers, and commercials, as well as on top artist hits around the world. He composed the score to the 2019 Academy Award-nominated animated short film One Small Step from TAIKO Studios which currently has over 30 million views on YouTube, and he has since continued his collaboration with TAIKO on a number of animated projects for popular properties like Pokémon and Lego. In 2022, his strings cover of Harry Styles’ “Sign Of The Times” featured prominently in Season 2 of Bridgerton (Netflix) and has surpassed 10 million streams on Spotify while also garnering the attention of outlets like Variety, who wrote about the process of creating and placing the cover. 

On the pop music front, Steve recently created and co/produced the orchestral arrangement for Rachel Platten's latest release "Girls (String Version)" and produced a custom remix of Mary J. Blige’s iconic song “I’m Goin’ Down” to promote her documentary My Life for Amazon Studios. He has co-written and produced songs for numerous artists including a cut on K-pop boy band SHINee’s number one charting album “I’m Your Boy”.

In addition to film/TV scoring and song production, Steve’s music has been featured in film trailers for A24, HBO, Universal Pictures, Amazon Originals, Apple Originals, Starz, Sony Pictures, Paramount, Lionsgate, Relativity Media and Netflix. He has also created bespoke music and sound design for brands like Toyota, Hyundai Genesis, Verizon, Intel, Nokia, Boeing, NBC Universal, The FX Network, Target, AMC Theaters, Panda Express, Best Buy, Home Depot and many others.

Throughout his career, Steve has said yes to a diverse range of musical projects in a broad spectrum of styles and genres. This exploration has fostered a deep well to draw from when taking on a new score. Steve’s prime directive when taking on a new project is to become fully immersed in telling the story in a way that connects on the deepest possible level.
